While we’re all mindlessly scrolling through social media apps, you can’t help but wonder about the celebs who have millions of global followers. What does that get them apart from extreme scrutiny? Well, apparently, it’s big bucks.
If you’ve noticed the sponsored posts and paid promotions by influencers and celebs that litter your feed; the Instagram rich list will give you an idea of exactly how much money such posts help these personalities rake in. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Priyanka Chopra made it to this list in 2021 as they had in 2019.
They were among many international personalities who were ranked on the amount they are paid on the photo-sharing app. Virat was at 23 in 2019, but he has since overtaken Priyanka to make the top 20 in 2021. Kohli currently makes Rs 5 crore for a post.
On the other hand, PeeCee scored the 27th spot and IE reports that she makes $403,000 (an estimated Rs 3 crore) for every paid promotional post. Earlier, she was at number 19 on the list and it appears her earnings have increased over time.
Just in case you’re wondering, football legend Cristiano Ronaldo leads this list. His promotional posts earn him Rs 11.9 crore each.
Earlier Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson used to rake in Rs 11 crore for each post before he was overtaken by Ronaldo. Among other Hollywood celebs on the list are Dua Lipa, Emma Watson and Gigi Hadid. Take a look at their positions on the list as well as how much they make:
