And The eleventh edition of IPL has only just begun, which means we’ve got plenty of entertainment and cricket to look forward to. I’m sure you’ve already pegged your loyalty on your favourite team(s) and players. But if you’re one of the Tweeple, your loyalties are slightly wavering, because Twitter humour spares no one! And after last night, Twitter is slinging shots at KKR’s Vinay Kumar and his final over bowling against CSK!
KKR, batting first, managed to put an impressive target of 203 on the board for CSK to chase, with Andre Russell’s glorious 11 sixes. Until the last over of the match, the scales were tipped in KKR’s favour. And then, Vinay Kumar happened.
In a final over, where CSK needed to put 17 more runs on the board to win the match, Vinay Kumar became their Knight(Rider)-in-shining armour.
With Vinay Kumar bowling, Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadeja managed to knock off 17 runs. And when Jadeja hit the final six, Vinay Kumar’s fate was sealed.
