Vidya Balan Shares Video Thanking Coronavirus For Making Us Appreciate The Luxury We Live In

Coronavirus is certainly creating chaos all over the globe. It has claimed several lives, brought the entire fast-paced world to a complete halt, stopped production, devastated the world economy and what not! But as they say, one must believe that the glass is always half-filled rather than half-empty.

However, a lockdown in several parts of the world has apparently allowed nature to revive, pollution levels to drop. People are spending quality time with their family during home quarantine and we have started realizing the value of little things in life.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan recently shared a video about coronavirus on her Instagram that expressed gratitude COVID-19 for all the changes it has brought in the world.

“Thank you coronavirus for shaking us and showing us we are dependent on something much bigger than we think. Thank you for making us appreciate the luxury we lived in — the abundance of products, freedom, health, and realizing we were taking it for granted. Thank you for stopping us to make us see how lost we were in the ‘busy-ness’ not having time for the most basic things. Thank you for allowing us to put aside all the problems we thought were so important and showing us what is actually important,” the video states, reports News 18.

“Thank you for stopping the transport. The earth was begging us to look at the pollution for a very long time. We didn’t listen,” mentions the video.

Expressing ‘gratitude’ towards the pandemic outbreak for uniting people all over the world, the video stated, “Thank you for all the fear. It has been a global disease for years but not many of us wanted to face it. But now we have to face it and learn how to embrace it with love and with the support of our community.”

“Thank you for this revaluation of our lives. Thank you as we finally understand what it means that we are all connected. Thank you for the unity between all of us…Be grateful, stay aware. Things will never be the same again. The world is changing now,” the video concludes.

Well, this health crisis has led us all to have immense gratitude towards nature, but above all, it helped us appreciate the sacrifices of doctors and nurses as well as those working tirelessly to provide us with essential services.
