When Indians go to a foreign country and behave in a manner that is considered foul or repulsive, they bring the entire country to shame because they are representing a nation. Be it behaving in an uncivil manner on an international flight or dirtying a public place while abroad, such things tend to set a wrong example for our country as a whole. Here’s an example.
Indians in Canada were celebrating Halloween and the entire gathering started creating a ruckus on the road. A video of it was posted on social media by a guy named Gautam Sachdeva a few days ago. Gautam claimed that there were people from other communities who were celebrating on the road too but once they saw the hooliganism of the Indian crowd, they started to leave.
Towards the end of the video, we see how people get into a fight and finally, the police are called to dissolve the crowd.
“Turning a country’s festival into a hooliganism show and being proud of it! These people represent India in the west. Calling out such acts is really really important. If you move abroad, better respect the culture of the country and the people around you!” Gautam wrote on Instagram.
