In her red wedding lehenga, the bride paid tribute to her husband’s Punjabi heritage. This time, with her pre-wedding look, Katrina Kaif paid tribute to her mother’s British heritage. The couple’s ensemble was designed by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Sharing deets about Kaif’s look, the designer wrote, “Sabyasachi conceptualized and created a vintage-inspired couture sari with a trailing veil. Silhouetted like a white wedding gown, the pastel tulle sari is embellished with hand-cut English flowers, embroidered by craftswomen from Bengal and liberally sprinkled with semi-precious gems and crystals. The ensemble took 40 artisans over 1800 hours to handcraft. The sari is paired with a statement uncut diamond choker detailed with opals and pale Russian emeralds, with matching earrings from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.”

“The groom wears a Bangalore silk embroidered sherwani and matching churidar with Sabyasachi gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons and custom made juttis by Sabyasachi Accessories,” it read.
According to the couple’s stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, Katrina’s look included a veil, trail, and a bouquet to reflect the beauty of a white wedding.
