Monsoon is causing a havoc all across India. For the past week, states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat have been been suffering from floods in various regions.
Vadodara has been in a state of peril ever since its streets turned to rivers. Rescue teams had been deployed for the aid of residents who’re stuck in the flood. And in that light, a cop, Govind Chavda seems to have gone beyond the call of duty and his gallant act is winnings hearts online. A viral video shows him carrying an infant over his head through the neck-deep flood waters.
The video received plenty of positive reactions from the netizens dubbing the cop a hero. Reportedly, despite the threat, several rescue teams of NDRF, SDRF, army and fire brigade along with local police are working day and night to evacuate over 5,000 people from low-lying areas to safe shelters.
Proud of the humanitarian work of this cop in Vadodara. Great courage & dedication. Rescued the baby & family. #VadodaraRains #sdrf #NDRF @GujaratPolice @IPS_Association pic.twitter.com/wWEVcJu3Ho

The tweet claims that the cop has saved more than 70 people stuck in the residential areas. One of which was this 45-days old infant, whom he carried in a plastic tub!
