Vadodara Aunty’s #KikiChallenge Video Goes Viral, Gets Her Into Trouble With Gujarat Police

You know how you tell kids to not do something, but that’s what makes them want to do it even more? The whole forbidden fruit tasting the sweetest logic? That’s exactly what’s happening with the viral #KikiChallenge. The internet’s latest obsession with this Drake song, or rather with the challenge of dancing next to a moving car on that song, has driven into a controversy with law enforcement the world over.

As the challenge goes even more viral, local police in a lot of cities has issued warnings on social media. But by the logic I mentioned above, people’s determination to indulge in this viral fad has only peaked.

And while you’d expect a little more sense from adults than teenagers, a middle-aged woman from Vadodara is the latest challenger asking “Kiki, do you love me?”

A middle-aged woman, identified as Rizwana Mir from Vadodara, Gujarat, has made an ‘aunty version’ of the #KikiChallenge. And the video has now gone viral.

In the video, Rizwana thankfully doesn’t take the risk of jumping out of moving car. Still, she is parallel to one, and dancing to Drake’s ‘In My Feelings’, while mock ignoring a car honking at her.

The video, on YouTube, went viral on social media. You can watch it here.

But guess what? Someone’s not at all impressed by this video. And that someone is Gujarat Police! Through their official Twitter account, they’ve issued a warning that attempting the #KikiChallenge might just land you behind bars.

“It’s not just your followers watching you groove; the traffic police are taking note too.”

As for Rizwana’s case, the Gujarat Police have ordered a probe into the video. Although India Today reports that ‘aunty’ has informed the cops about the video being a week old.

They say love makes you do crazy things. Makes you wonder how many more such crazy declarations of love for Kiki and this viral internet challenge will we be seeing before people realise it is not safe.
