John Poppleton is referred to as “The Bob Ross of Black Light Body Painting” because of his style and the types of scenes he chooses to paint on the human canvas. He says that he has always been fascinated by black lights, the beauty of human body and the world around him. Thus, he amalgamated all his interests and decided to express himself through art.
Coming from a photography background, he focuses on keeping his paintings as photo realistic as possible. He paints on human body under the illumination of black light with UV body paint. His paintings of light are called “Bodyscapes”.
