Taking an uncalled break from my busy lifestyle has made me appreciate the beauty of nature (even if it’s from my window or phone). I have started noticing the clear blue skies and am truly enjoying the pictures of the majestic mountains shared online.
Speaking of which, Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat recently shared mesmerizing images of a Tulip garden in Munsiyari, reports India Today. Spread over 50 hectares of forest land in the Pithoragarh district, the Tulips bloomed in the region after growth trials were successfully conducted in the area.
Have a look at his tweet:
I am happy to share the first pics of the successful pilot of my dream project- Munsiyari based Tulip Garden. Set amidst the backdrop of Panchachuli ranges, this garden will be one of the biggest tulip gardens in the world & will transform tourism in Munsiyari region. pic.twitter.com/eCUfnMYilt

According to experts, Munsiyari, which is situated at an altitude of 7,000 feet, has suitable climate conditions for the germination of Tulips. The garden is reportedly situated amid the backdrop of the snow-capped Panchachuli ranges.
“Research wing of Uttarakhand Forest Dept (UFD) successfully conducted suitability trial for tulip flowering in Munsyari area of Pithoragarh district, which is at an altitude of around 7000 feet; Germination and flowering both were excellent,” Sanjiv Chaturvedi, UFD Research Wing Head, was quoted saying by the Republic World.
The stunning images were admired by several people online who suggested the tulip gardens could become a popular tourist attraction:Â

Its a remarkable achievement. I have visited tulip gardens of Holland and always thought why can't it be done in India. You have done it.. looking forward to visit it. Also, the accessibility should be looked into as abroad places are easily accessible hence more popular.
