The Indian Army and the US Army have recently completed training together at the Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington D.C. According to The Indian Express, This was the 15th edition of Yudh Abhyas, the joint military exercise undertaken by the two countries.
From September 5 to 18, troops from both the armies collaborated and carried out counter-terrorist operations and drills. The partnership was undertaken to share best practices and work together on exercises based on UN peacekeeping operations.

On the final day of the combined defence training, the US Army band beautifully played the national anthem of India. Check it out.

NDTV quoted a participating Indian origin American soldier, Staff Sergeant Ranbir Kaur (the first Sikh woman to join the US Army) saying,
“I was born in India but was brought up in the US since 1993. I have been part of the US Army since 2003. Currently, I am at the closing ceremony for YA 19 (Yudh Abhyas 2019) and had a great experience working with my Indian counterparts. The best part of the exercise was that female Indian officers participated in it. That was great interaction between both sides. I learned a lot from them and look forward to working with them again.”
Hearing the beautiful tune played on trumpets gave Twitter goosebumps.
What a lovely day to start with.
