‘You Embarrassed & Slut-Shamed Me Publicly’ Urfi Javed Calls Out Farah Ali Khan’s Hypocrisy

Remember when earlier this year, famous jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali locked horns with model and aspiring actor Urfi Javed for her OTT fashion sense?

Farah had called Urfi’s dressing ‘distasteful’ following which both of them got into a verbal spat publicly. She had specifically told Urfi that “when you choose to wear a revealing top then the bottom part of your outfit should be covered and vice versa.”

Well, seems like Farah’s comment has come back to bite her. Recently, when Farah’s sister Sussanne Khan posted a picture in shorts and a bikini top with a cover-up, Farah commented ‘Gorgeous’ on it.

Her comment irked someone online who was quick to flag it to Farah that she’s a hypocrite. The user went on to say that the advice she gave to Urfi about not showing legs and boobs at the same time, doesn’t apply to her sister. “Bit hypocritical don’t you think?”

Farah was quick to jump in and clarify that she didn’t ask Urfi not to expose.

“I asked her to choose better styling. If you can’t see the difference than it’s okay. Everyone does not have to have the same point of view. Have a blessed day.”

And since the earlier incident is still fresh in many people’s minds, the user decided to go ham on Farah calling her out repeatedly for bullying Urfi while rooting for her sister for doing the same thing. This is how their banter went.

Farah went on to clarify that her intention wasn’t to bully Urfi but to ‘protect’ her. And while they were having a heated argument, someone tagged Urfi in the comments section.

After reading what went through on Sussanne’s post, Urfi penned a lengthy note testifying that Farah’s intention was not to protect her. Urfi said that she called her ‘distasteful’ on a public platform which made her depressed. And after receiving backlash Farah is changing her narrative.

“No, your intent was not to ‘protect’ me. You’re a known face, you called me distasteful on a public platform, your comment made headlines. I was so depressed reading your comment, I cried my eyes out. You embarrassed and slut shamed me publicly. I stood up for myself. After receiving backlash, you later changed your narrative to ‘protect me’ but I still never received any apology from you. At least I have the balls to stick to my words. Hope this will be a lesson to you to not bully any young girl (outsider coz never seen you calling star kids distasteful in public) in future.”

As we say, the internet never forgets and this has proved detrimental to Farah. Also, what’s with following a ‘rule’? Fashion is all about expressing yourself. If you’re not cool with someone’s ideology and dressing, just ignore it and move on. Why criticize and shame them?
