If you’re an employee, hating your boss is canon. It’s the way of the world. It’s natural. Pretty sure your boss hates theirs, and that guy hates the big guy above him. Bitching about one’s superior at work is considered a bonding exercise amongst colleagues. But can you imagine the horror if every horrible thing you said about your boss were to come out in the open?
Worse, can you imagine finding out the lengths your subordinate could go to, to satiate their hatred for you?
A video recently surfaced online of a peon in the office of a civil judge in Uttar Pradesh, spitting into the glass of water meant for his boss!
Every boss’ worst nightmare, and seems like every disgruntled employee’s revenge fantasy manifested clearly in the video, which shows Vikas Gupta, a peon, spitting in a lady civil judge’s water glass, before serving it to her.
According to TOI, the lady civil judge had been suspicious of the peon, and therefore, decided to install CCTV cameras in her office. The peon was thus caught in the act.

After the lady judge submitted the video as evidence to her seniors, the district and sessions judge of Aligarh, PK Singh, ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Speaking to TOI, he confirmed that a senior officer has been asked to submit a report on the incident within a month.
“Appropriate action will be taken against the employee after the inquiry.”
Gupta, the peon, has been suspended immediately.
According to the president of Class IV employee’s union, to which Gupta belongs, the peon had been facing harassment for the last two months, which may have affected his mental state and prompted him to do such a thing.
However, the union president did admit that the act was “unacceptable”.
We can all agree that while harbouring dislike for one’s superior is normal, stooping to such levels to get back at them might not be the most prudent course of action.
