But for one man from UP, the drug turned out to be a curse rather than a boon, after he ended up breaking his penis after a particularly long lasting boner.
According to the Deccan Chronicle, the 36-year-old had taken 100mg of sildenafil, aka Viagra to spice things up in the bedroom. However, when his erection persisted even after sex, he tried vigorous masturbation to calm things down.
But the Viagra seems to have done the trick, and then some, as he ended up having to sleep it off, hoping for a non-woody morning.
Unfortunately for him though, things took a majorly painful turn when his child surprised him by jumping into bed to wake him up and fell right on top of his still erect penis. Understandably, it wasn’t a pleasant experience and the man experienced nightmarish pain of 2 days before he sought help from the medics. The surgeons at the urology department of King George’s Medical University found a tear in his right corpora cavernosa, which is the tissue that stores blood during an erection.
Lucky for him, he was left with no permanent damage despite his penis taking on an eggplant shape after the injury.
According to a report detailing his case file, the man regained his erectile functions 6 weeks after the incident.
