In today’s digital age, police officers often use social media to their advantage. For instance, traffic police from different cities share creative posts online to warn the public about potential misdeeds. In fact, on some occasions, viral posts have helped cops identify and arrest miscreants.
Recently, a gang from Muzaffarnagar shared its rate chart on social media for ‘goon services’ that they provide, reports DNA. In the appalling card, a youth uploaded a slew of photos listing rates to hire goons for thrashing and getting someone murdered in Uttar Pradesh.
The youth, who can be seen holding a pistol in the picture, posted a rate chart to injure, abduct, issue threats, and even murder someone. That’s not all, these services come at a fixed rate provided by the gang. As per the chart, Rs 1000 will be charged for issuing threats and Rs 5,000 to beat somebody up.
Injuring a person would cost Rs 10,000 and in order to commit murder, the gang allegedly charges Rs 55,000. After the disturbing post went viral on social media, the police stepped in and searched for the man who had uploaded the pictures.
Eventually, the person was identified as a resident of Chowkada village which comes under the Charathaval police station. The CO of Sadar police station Kuldeep Kumar said that this inflammatory post is being investigated. According to the police, action will be taken in the case soon.
