2 UP Cops Roll In A Ditch Fighting Over ‘Who Gets The Front Seat’, Video Goes Viral

Last week, a shocking CCTV video surfaced from Prayagraj where two constables got into an argument over who gets to take the bribe home. The incident resulted in their suspension but left everyone disappointed and also embarrassed with the sorry state of affairs. According to The Times of India, another scuffle erupted in Kanpur when Rajesh Singh and Sunil Kumar who are constables in the Uttar Pradesh police department, engaged in fisticuffs over a trivial matter.

On 18 August, both of them started roughing each other up for a front seat in a police response vehicle (PRV) that responds to dial 100 calls. The incident took place in Bithoor area and was recorded on video by a passerby.

In the video, a third cop can be seen trying to break up the fight without any success. As per latest reports, the department has suspended both the policemen for inappropriate behaviour while on duty. An official revealed,

“Both the constables tried to take the front seat of PRV. Later, an argument ensued between them, and they physically attacked each other in public.”

SSP Anant Deo added,

“Following the incident, which took place on Friday and came to light on Sunday morning, the two cops have been suspended and the investigation is underway.”

We sincerely hope that henceforth, law enforcement officials fight criminals rather than their own colleagues to make society a safer place for everyone.
