Many of us have this dream of travelling with our friends and having the adventure of a lifetime. But while our Goa plans have been rotting in some corner of our lives, these two elderly women in their 80s are living the ultimate friendship and travel goals simultaneously!

According to a report by the Independent, Sandy is a physician and lecturer while Ellie is a documentary photographer. Five years ago, Sandy and Ellie were just hanging out when Sandy told her, “Ellie, why don’t we take a trip around the world in 80 days when we are 80?”
And so, they did!

In an interview, Ellie said, “We love all the sights that we saw, but the things that we remember the most are the people that we met. We met some of the most wonderful, kindest, friendliest people in the world. We just have friends now all over the world that we love dearly.”

She also called their journey an “adventure” and not a “vacation”.
“We planned an adventure. And every single day was an adventure,” she added.
