Twinkle Khanna’s Savage Reply To Film Critic Appreciating Her ‘Navel’ Wins Hearts!

Twinkle Khanna has been making headlines time and again for her witty social commentary and hilarious observations on things that matter. But before becoming an acclaimed, published author she also had a Bollywood career that was short-lived.

She admitted that her hubby Akshay Kumar jokingly told her to never act again or become a standup comic because she was so bad. Twinkle starred in a movie that just completed 20 years. And to commemorate the decade-old movie, an Instagram account shared the review of her film ‘Baadshah’ that she did alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

The Instagram account that goes by the name ‘retrobollywood’ shared an excerpt from a review published in 1999 that says that Shahrukh and Twinkle performed well in the movie and so did her ‘navel’.

The excerpt reads:

“Anu Malik has done a decent job with the music — the title song is good, while others like Yahan wahan kadam kadam pe lakhon haseenaen hai and Main to hoon pagal are quite in the hummable category. Shahrukh has performed well, so have Twinkle and her navel, which was in full view right through the film. Amrish Puri is very good as the villain with the sense of humour. Rakhee, unfortunately, is wasted — all she does is address press conferences and seminars.”

Well, Mrs. Funnybones took notice of the post and came up with a classic ‘Twinkle-style’ reply that is making us love her even more:

She writes:

Did I say I never got good reviews? I apparently did with the support of an emotive body part! Have to say that 20 years on and the Baadshah couple still have it – SRK still has his dimples and I still have that fine navel:) Thank you sending this and brightening up my morning @manishmalhotra05 ?#navelgrazing

The Internet is digging her sarcasm:

Ever since she realised that movies were not her thing, Twinkle Khanna has been tickling our funny bones with her humour and wit be it through her books or her thought-provoking insights in her columns.
