Tulsi Gabbard is a U.S. politician who is currently one of the candidates running for the Presidential Elections 2020 on behalf of the Democrats. She is also a combat veteran who served the U.S. Army in Iraq and Kuwait war zones. Therefore, one can bet on her physical strength and abilities!
Recently, Tulsi Gabbard was challenged for a push-up contest by a man during a Town Hall meeting, reports The Indian Express.
“Former Vice President Biden has randomly challenged people in the audience to a push-up contest even if they’re in walkers. Do you think you could take him?”, the man asked.
“My educated and informed guess would be yes. But I would take most people to a push-up challenge,” replied Gabbard.

She then went on to take the push-up challenge alongside her opponent and won, in heels!

When some people said that her opponent could easily do a few more push-ups and win, Gabbard said that she could do it too.
So did I.

This video just makes me think how, for the longest time, girls had only female celebrities as role models who looked fragile and feminine, and who prioritised beauty over strength. It’s great to see how the younger generations of girls can find so many new role models in sportswomen, politicians, scientists, officers, etc. who inspire them intellectually and physically.
