I think that the concept of time was created by humans to pick on late-comers like us. It’s not fair that we’re always yelled at for being a little lousy when it comes to keeping up with the others. Maybe we’re never late, and it’s just a conspiracy by other human beings to make us feel bad for no reason. Sigh.
Anyway, if you identify with any of the points mentioned below, you probably belong to the latecomer category.
1. You miss your bus almost every time
In fact, the last time you caught your bus on time was your first day of work/college.
2. You are used to combing your hair/doing make up on the commute
Saves time, as you run to catch your bus.
3. You have to set at least 5 alarms to wake yourself up
Or set your clock half an hour early. Because you’re very, very sure you’ll miss it.
4. You are the last one to enter your class
And everyone stares at you while you walk in, apologizing to the professor.
5. And as a result, you have to sit on the first bench
Because the back seats are all taken.
6. You don’t pay your bills till the last minute
And sometimes, you end up sitting at home without electricity because you missed the deadline.
7. All your friends ask you to reach half an hour early
Because they know, only then you’ll come on time.
8. You have never seen the beginning part of a movie show
And it hurts every single time.
9. You often miss lunch/breakfast hours because you get late for them
And in case you do reach, all the hot food is gone.
10. You have missed out on writing exams because you were late
11. Your friends bet on how late you will be
You’re used to it.
12. But because of this, you know all the shortcuts to your destination
13. You are the master in making excuses for your lateness
And you always have an innocent smile ready, in case people get mad.
14. You’re twice as efficient, because you finish more work in less time
15. None can multitask as well as you can
Combing your hair AND drinking your coffee at the same time? That requires skill.
16. And someday, with your efforts of trying to wake up on time, you will shine
You’ll shine a little late, but you will.
