You can find much more than speeding cars on the roads today, thanks to the bustling population. While there is no doubt that the roads and its horizons are broadening in every way possible, it’d be ignorant to ignore the subsequent growth of traffic too.
Let me rephrase that for you; if you’re extremely lucky you manage to get a free-way and if you’re in India you get the company of co-commuters blazing their horns like there is no tomorrow.
Yes, I’m getting at something…
It so happens that areas in Delhi-Gurgram experience the worst of all choc-a-blocs making it impossibly difficult for people to believe in hassle-free transportation/locomotion. If you do not believe me, well, let’s just say…you will by the end of this.
A certain Twitter user, Birender Kumar Singh recently got stuck in a traffic jam. But that was just the beginning of his ordeal. His fault? Unlike others, he decided to seek help on Twitter.
@gurgaonpolice @dtptraffic stuck for last one hour at NH 48 in front of ambience mall. Please help
— Birender Kumar (@singhbk) September 22, 2017
That’s right he tagged Delhi and Gurugram police on his tweet, asking for help!
No, he did not get any help or assurance. In fact, Delhi police responded to his request with a U-turn of its kind! Beleive it or not, his plea was re-directed to the Gurugram police.
Thanks, matter is out of Delhi Police jurisdiction so your complaint is being forwarded to @gurgaonpolice for taking necessary action.

While he tried to explain the spot he is in…
The traffic jam is till turn for T3 that’s why I included delhi police in tweet
— Birender Kumar (@singhbk) September 22, 2017
Gurugram police jumped in, to pass the bucket to–no points for guessing–the Delhi police!
@dtptraffic Plz clear your traffic over rajokri flyover. This is resulting in serious traffic congestion in Gurugram.
— Gurugram Police (@gurgaonpolice) September 22, 2017
Needless to say, the blame-game raised a lot of eyebrows along with a gamut of reactions.
1. The irony of it all!

2. It’s not rocket science really!
I was stuck in jam till about 10 min ago.. it starts in Delhi territory @dtptraffic shouldn't shrug responsibility
— Vijay 🇮🇳 (@vijay_kasp) September 22, 2017
3. *facepalm*
— Adithaps (@adithaps) September 22, 2017
4. Not ideal, to say the least!
Lovely table tennis between 2 police teams who should be interdependent on each other.
— Sunil Issar (@SunilIssar) September 22, 2017
5. Is it a pattern in hiding?
The old blame game of Delhi police, either the offence can be prosecuted on the spot, or out of jurisdiction or staff has been informed!!!
— Navneet (@nav_neet) September 22, 2017
What can I say? Other than that, hope this the last time we see and hear of this tiring blame game! Are you listening, Delhi-Gurugram police?
