Tony Stark Meets Adult Daughter In The Soul Realm In Deleted Scene From ‘Avengers: Endgame’

‘Avengers: Endgame’ shook the marvel fandom with the death of their favourite Avenger Iron Man. Recently, some deleted clips of the movie were released which showed Tony Stark meeting the grown-up version of his daughter Morgan.

While Avengers: Endgame marked the end of an era for MCU fans, Marvel had previously shared a gag reel and six other deleted scenes back in July. However, these new extended clips are more insightful and engrossing than the previous ones. According to the Independent, Marvel fans are being treated to the previously unseen clip, which has been stitched into the digital version of the film. It depicts Tony Stark who is about to die in the final battle – in a version of the afterlife, speaking with his grown-up daughter

In the now-deleted scene that takes place in the Soul Realm after the final snap, Stark explains to his teenage daughter how his decision to sacrifice himself was the right thing to do. Morgan proudly tells him that someone had to do it, and his decision saved everyone in the entire universe. It’s really hard to keep from crying when she says “I love you” and Stark bids goodbye with, “I love you 3,000.”

So, why did the filmmakers cut such an emotionally powerful scene? According to CNN, Joe Russo said the fear was that the scene “ground the movie to a halt” and hurt the momentum. Moreover, Anthony Russo said, because viewers were only visually familiar with the young version of Morgan, “as we would watch it in post [production] we started to feel we didn’t have a lot of emotional connection… to the character because we’d never seen her before.” Thus, the scene was cut.

The Disney+ version of the film pays a nearly 20-minute tribute to the iconic character and features a deleted scene that shows an alternate version of Peter Parker’s reunion with Tony Stark during the film’s big battle.

We can’t get over these emotional scenes anytime soon, can you?
