From weird Japanese sex shows to Amsterdam’s 5-D sex theatre, we have come across many bizarre stories that show how the pornographic industry is one of the biggest markets out there.
As per a report in The Sun, a Japanese adult film company named ‘Soft on Demand’ has opened a ‘porn theme park’ in Tokyo’s Kabukicho nightlife district. The “adult-only amusement park” is called ‘SOD Land’ with private video booths and real-life professional porn stars serving the guests. The entry tickets cost 500 Yen (Rs. 350 approx.) for half an hour, exclusive of the food and drinks that the visitor would purchase inside.
There are a total of ‘5 floors of adult entertainment’ with each floor having a different theme for the 18+ clientele. For instance, one floor is advertised as a “Newcomer Adult Film Actress Floor,” new and upcoming porn stars would be serving the visitors. Another floor named ‘Famous Adult Actress Floor’ lets the guests talk and mingle with more well-known adult film stars and performers, Malay Mail reports.
The entrance floor doubles up as a gift store. The second floor called Kakubutsu Salon is an “erotic massages” area which also offers other ‘entertainment services of a risqué nature’. The top floor is ‘The Silent Bar Area’ where customers can relax as long as they stay quiet, while a bartender in a bikini serves drinks from behind a one-way mirror.
The managers have also included certain COVID-safe restrictions within the premises, including compulsory temperature checks and face masks or shields for the guests. The timings have been currently kept from 5 PM to 10 PM.
