New Mom Draws Comics To Explain To Hubby Why Nighttime Feedings Leave Her Tired In The Mornings

Parents with a newborn have their task cut out for them. There’s minimum to no sleep, lots of crying, and basically zero peace of mind! Thankfully, today, men are stepping up to their role as fathers and helping their wives with all the ‘changing diapers stuff’. In fact, we’ve got some really cool celebrity dads like James Bond Daniel Craig, who don’t mind strapping their babies to their chest and carrying them around, no matter what douchebags like Piers Morgan might say about it!

But hey, the bigger piece of the slogging cake is still served on Mommy’s plate!

Mattea Goff, a new mother herself, has ample support from her husband, Kris. However, Kris couldn’t fathom why, even though they were caring for the baby together, his wife would always be exhausted in the morning!

They’re sharing the load when it comes to baby duties. So if he’s getting a good night’s sleep and waking up fresh as a diasy in the morning, then why isn’t the wifey?

Mattea realised that her hubby needed some explaining. And to make it easier, she decided to use some visual aids! She drew a five-panel comic!

Mattea believes that some things about motherhood cannot be understood unless you’ve experienced them yourself.

“So this past weekend I was having a hard time finding the words (probably because I haven’t had any sleep) to express to Kris why I’m not in the best of moods first thing in the morning. So I sat down with my coffee and drew him a visual.”

I promise, the visual she drew is going to be super relatable for breastfeeding mommies! As for the rest of us, we can just laugh at how funny the whole thing looks!

*Useless nipples* ROFLMAO!

As you can observe, Mommy has to pretty much endure the crying baby punches, while Useless Nipples (Daddy) is sound asleep!

As Useless Nipples (Daddy) continues to dwell in the land of deep REM sleep, Mommy (Useful nipples) has to breastfeed the baby, who has nails like dragon talons and who is drooling all over her side of the bed!

Some more kicking, some major discomfort because of differences in body temperatures. And all this while Useless Nipples snores on….

Aaaaaaaaand finally it is the am! Useless Nipples aka Husband aka Daddy has had a good night’s rest and is super cheery! Crying baby has fed and is sleeping like the most beautiful little angel! As for Mommy?

She’s been kicked and pinched and drooled over all night, without getting a wink of zzzzz!

Now ya geddit, husband, why your wife is exhausted beyond comprehension every morning?

While this can be seriously frustrating for a mother, Mattea’s way of explaining adds some much needed comic relief to it! And we’re pretty sure Kris got it all!

Mattea decided to share the comic on her Facebook page so that other moms could use it to explain to their partners what the exhaustion was all about. Both Mattea and Kris did not anticipate the comic going so viral! Mattea has even started a dedicated FB page for the comic called STICK with me -home of #UselessNipples, where she’s already sharing some new ones!
