I have always had my doubts about weird online trends & challenges. Don’t get me wrong, there are days when I come across positive content like a #PetBFF campaign that encourages stray animal adoption or a #EduTok initiative that makes learning fun. However, then there are those days when I come across a guy slapping his mom’s breast or a girl using saliva to unlock her iPhone. And such videos make me question my liking for these challenges.
But how far could you really go to make a viral video? You wouldn’t risk your life, would you? Well, TikTok user Jason Clark had a near-death experience while recording a video for the Chinese app. He had come across a beautiful lake in Utah and made a video of it.

However, Jason who has more than four lakh followers on the platform decided to swim under the frozen lake, reports India Today. Have a look at his distressing attempt:

Jason had a close brush with death as he got trapped under the sheet of ice and could not find his way out, reports NDTV. His girlfriend, who was recording the video, was unaware that he was struggling to breathe under the ice. He also attempted to break the ice with his back.
Eventually, he managed to escape from the hole. He was gasping for breath as he came out. Jason mentioned that his girlfriend couldn’t grasp the severity of the situation as he often pranks her. He also said that his dog was super excited to see him.

However, the horrifying experience did not stop him from giving up. He visited the lake for another attempt. Have a look at his second try:

But this time as a precautionary measure, he made a bigger exit hole. Luckily, this time he successfully completed the task for his outdoor adventure account. All we can say is he is a lucky man and it’s never safe to perform such dangerous stunts.
