Blockbusters in India are having a really hard time avoiding the meme treatment. Ranveer Singh’s “taufa” line came in handy for people who believed in self-gifting. ‘Race 3’ flooded the internet with memes that took jabs at Daisy Shah’s iconic and cringe-worthy line. And with the year drawing to an end, we’ve ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ to laugh at.
‘Thugs of Hindostan’ looked like a sure-shot blockbuster due to its star-studded cast and the YRF banner on top of it. But it ended up sinking to the depths of the Indian Ocean due to shoddy CGI, a dull script and a tedious run-time. I mean, when you’ve upset optimistic people like Taran Adarsh and Rajeev Masand, you’ve surely done something wrong.
