What is true love?

You’ll come across a lot of quizzes and articles, also people who present you with the definitions and the meaning of love. But do you believe them? Do you really think what that say is true love? Could what they say true love is, be the only way to know what it is?

Here are a few reasons that those might just be lying about it or don’t have an idea what real love is.

1. You stop looking for love anymore.

You never stop looking for love. You will always be seeking it. But the only difference that’ll probably take place is, that you’ll start looking for it in specific places and specific people and hold it special in the little corners of your heart.

 

2. Your habits and preferences match so well.

True love doesn’t come easy. You have to fight for it. If you are a person who appreciates another person you have to be a little different than them. You need not be someone’s carbon copy to be their true love, or them to be yours.

 

3. You are excellent at doing things together.

True love allows you to be yourself. There are only two ways this happens, the other person respects you enough to try what you like or is actually influenced by you. Otherwise, true love can also mean that you have enough respect for each other to let you and them be on their own if they don’t share your interests.

 

4. The joys outweigh the struggles.

The struggles are a catalyst and joys are the products. Like a neutral reaction, they balance out each other. Sometimes, the struggles actually bring out the happiness in little joys of life, reminding you what it took for you to get where you are and be proud.

 

5. True love is the name of making sacrifices.

It is not the name of making sacrifices. True love inspires you to be greater, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you destroy the person you were before to become a new one completely. That’s not the person they fell in love with. True love doesn’t ask for sacrifices, it asks for acceptance.

No, you won’t. You might feel like shit some days, but when it’s real love, all those shitty days are going to be totally worth it.

It doesn’t come easy. It doesn’t just walk up to you. You have to find it. You have to look for it. and when you do find it, you have to fight for it.

You might not. True love doesn’t come with a validation date that you have to declare to the world that your love is valid.

On the contrary, it hurts the most. But the difference is, the pain will be totally worth going through.

That’s a guarantee no one can give. Not even God. Love cannot give you that guarantee either, But what it’ll do, is help you overcome them with the help of those who are with you and care about you.

 

13. What you have, is definitely true love.

True love, is next to impossible to be explained. It’s too beautiful and complicated for that. So stop looking for the meaning of real love and just go experience it for yourself.
