“Childhood Is Over,” Says Twitter After The Undertaker Retires From WWE

55-year-old Mark Calaway who is known to the world as The Undertaker and The Deadman has announced his retirement in the final episode of WWE’s documentary “The Last Ride”. According to NY Post, the wrestling legend’s last time in the ring was a Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36.

News18 quoted him saying, “I’m at a point where it’s time the cowboy really rides away. There’s nothing left for me to conquer. There’s nothing left for me to accomplish. The game has changed. It’s time for new guys to come up. The time just seems right. I think this documentary has helped me discover that. It’s really opened my eyes to the bigger picture.”

He added,

“If there was ever a perfect ending to a career, that right there was it. If [WWE Chairman] Vince [McMahon] was in a pinch, would I come back? I guess time will only tell there. In case of emergency, break glass, you pull out The Undertaker. I would have to consider that. Never say never, but at this point in my life and in my career I have no desire to get back in the ring.”

Fans from across the globe are now sharing their favourite memories of his 30-year long career with #ThankYouTaker.

This is the end of an era. Thank you, for all the memories, legend. We’ll miss you!
