“Long beautiful hair is the key to catching a prince. It also makes a handy ladder when you need to escape”, says Rapunzel in Disney’s popular fairy tale, Tangled. And women have always been fond of recreating the fairy tales! Her’s one such woman who took Rapunzel so seriously that she gave up trimming her hair 28 years back. A Ukrainian businesswoman, Alena Kravchenko with six foot long blonde tresses believes that there is nothing more beautiful in the world than a woman with natural, flowing hair.

A mother of six-year-old twins, Alena has not yet got a haircut done for her daughters too and hopes that her kids follow her footsteps. Alena, however, admits of loving the attention and awe that she receives when she let her hair flow open touching the floor in public. She also loves being compared with the Grimm’s character and the Disney Princess Rapunzel. Of course, who wouldn’t?
Looking at her impressive mane, we wonder what a herculean task would it be to maintain such lustrous locks! From spas to shampoos and oils, she must have hired a full-time hair-dresser at her home to maintain the tresses. But Alena denies it all! Unlike the universal norms of hair care, Alena told Oddity Central that she washes her hair only once every three weeks. She says that the natural oils in hair help it to grow long and lustrous.
