The national capital Delhi is also notorious for being the crime capital. And one of the reasons it is considered this is the ‘Thak Thak Gang’. Wondering why they’re called that? It’s because they knock on the windowpanes of cars to loot intended victims. This is a strategy to get their attention and distract them while an accomplice executes the robbery.
One such incident happened in Delhi’s South Extension market area. The gang generally operates on tip-offs or intel gathered beforehand on the potential victim. The target, in this case, a parked car with cash in the boot and a driver present. First, a gang member drops some 10 rupee notes near the car and proceeds to tell the driver that they might be his. When the driver comes out and picks them up, an accomplice retrieves the bag of cash from his trunk. By the time the driver returns to sit in the car, all of them (including a third lookout) have vanished. And he’s none the wiser.
This is how the heist went down
The police are currently investigating the robbery and hope to nab this gang soon. Until then, it’s wise for everyone to be more cautious and alert.

What’s most shocking is that they managed to do everything in broad daylight. On a busy road. In the presence of CCTV cameras. While the police are looking for the culprits, everyone is advised to be vigilant. And more importantly, don’t be deceived or lured by some paltry notes.
