Cops Search For 18-YO Threatening To Spread Coronavirus Around Texas

Countries across the globe are taking every necessary precaution to contain coronavirus, even if it means partially shutting the country down. But still, 70,000 people have succumbed to the virus globally.

However, this depressing number of fatalities hasn’t convinced many people about the seriousness of the issue. Earlier we saw a man mocking the virus and wiping his mouth and nose with currency notes. Now, a teenager from Texas who claims to be COVID-19 positive is roaming around the city, intentionally spreading it, reported NBC News.

The 18-year-old identified as Lorraine Maradiaga took to social media and shared a series of videos claiming that she’s been tested positive and refuses to stay in quarantine.

In one of her many videos, she appears to be at a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site in which a nurse is seen telling Lorraine she needs to go home as her test results are awaited. In another video, she is seen at a retail store, reported Metro Online.

She then reportedly goes on to say, “I’m here at Walmart about to infest every mother*** because if I’m going down, all you mother*** are going down,” reports NY Post.

While in her car, she further says:

“My parents told me to stay my a** at home. Who the f**k are you to tell me to stay my a** home?”.

She continues coughing as she says, “If you want to get the coronavirus and f*** die, call me. I’ll meet you up and (cough, cough) and I will shorten your life.”

As soon as her video went viral, people reportedly started tagging the Carrollton Police Department, to bring it to their notice, said Huffington Post. Jolene DeVito, a Carrollton police spokeswoman, said, “People started tagging us and sharing the videos on Saturday.” She added that it is unclear when the videos were recorded. But, within no time, the cops were able to identify the teen.

In a Twitter post, the police said that they have identified her and are charging her with a terrorist threat.

They also added that they have no confirmation if she is actually a threat to public health. However, they are taking her social media actions very seriously.

Reports suggested that the officers went to Lorraine’s home, but she was not there. “Her family has been cooperative with us, but she was not home at the time,” DeVito said. The cops have urged people to inform them about her whereabouts.

This isn’t the first time that someone was charged with making a terroristic threat for mocking coronavirus. The numbers of fatalities are increasing with every passing day. We urge people to adhere to all the health advice by the medical practitioners and stay in complete isolation if need be. Your negligence can cost a life, guys!
