Similarly, 15-year-old Dorothy’s mom confiscated all her gadgets as a punishment after she was boiling rice and the stove burst into flames as she was too busy on her phone.
So, Dorothy began exploring new ways of using social media through other ‘smart’ gadgets in the house, reports New York Magazine. According to the Guardian, Igor Brigadir, a computer researcher at University College Dublin, reviewed her tweets and approved that the first two tweets were surely done through the mentioned gadgets. But said that the last tweet probably did not come from a refrigerator.
“The LG fridge [tweet] was definitely manually created,” he said. He examined the metadata of the tweets and found that the girl had tweeted the last tweet from a custom Twitter app. “If it was tweeted from a fridge, the metadata would probably have said the tweet was sent through a browser, not from a fridge”, he said.
