We might not be able to remember what we had for lunch a day before, but our memory will never fail us while remembering a particular teacher we had.
You see, a student-teacher relationship might be loving or bitter, but never unforgettable. I’m pretty sure you can remember every single teacher you have ever had!
However, some of us might think that our teachers may not remember us. But one particular teacher remembered her student after 30 years and the incident will make anyone teary-eyed!
30 years back during playschool admissions, a then 3-year old Rohan Bhasin had introduced himself to his teacher as ‘Captain Rohan Bhasin’.
Now, the same Rohan had become a real ‘captain’ and as fate would have it, the captain of the same flight that the teacher was travelling on!
Sudha Satyan experienced a jolt to her memory when she was travelling from Delhi to Chicago via plane and she heard an announcement bearing the pilot’s name.
She then requesting an air-hostess to kindly let her meet the pilot. And to her surprise, it was the same student from playschool who had called himself ‘captain’!
The union had brought the two in tears as they hugged.
Later, Rohan’s mother Nivedita Bhasin took on Twitter to share their story. She also posted a then-and-now picture which is melting our hearts!
During Playschool admission, the teacher asked my son his name.
Nonchalantly he answered, "Capt Rohan Bhasin".
And he was just 3.And today, the same teacher was enroute to Chicago.
And he was indeed the Captain. 🤗👨✈️#StudentTeacherReunion❤️ pic.twitter.com/nGAqZSKUnF— Nivedita Bhasin (@nivedita_bhasin) March 24, 2019
This beautiful story is winning everyone’s hearts and netizens can’t stop but adoring Captain Rahul’s gesture!
Incredible…simply incredibly beautiful! What great honour to fly in her student's flight! Brought tears of joy and compassion in my eyes. Proud of Capt. Bhasin and his parents too. 👍 @nivedita_bhasin

It's a touching and a heartwarming gesture by Rohan. Greater still is that the teacher remembered his name. That I think was the best Gurudakshina ever in recent years. Guru Brahma!

In this age of social media, it’s very easy to keep in touch with people we’ve left behind. But at the same time, it’s really difficult to build the same bond between that of a teacher and a student.
Why not connect with our teachers and let them know how much contributed to making us the person we are today?
