He Grabbed My Bare Ass: Taylor Swift Testifies Against A DJ Who Molested Her At A Concert

There’s nothing that can protect us from the clutches of evil. And it’s sickening, because no one deserves to be touched inappropriately, disrespected, raped, or beaten-upfor not being ready to give in to bullying or harassment.

A number of bodyguards, the sheer respect she receives for her talent, and the love of millions of fans couldn’t save the pop singer, Taylor Swift, from the grip of a man who put his hand under her skirt and grabbed her “bare ass”.

During a 2013 concert in Denver, a DJ called DJ David Mueller posed for a photo with Taylor and his girlfriend. While the photo was being clicked, he put his hand down her skirt and gabbed her bare buttocks.

Taylor then told her management team, which barred him from all her concerts. The Guardian reported that Mueller later lost his job at Denver radio station, KYGO-FM and instigated the legal action and sued Taylor for $3M.

He sued Swift for being rejected from all the jobs and said that her “false claim” had costed him his career, passion and income.

DJ Mueller, who was then 51, inappropriately touched then 23-year-old Taylor. To answer to the $3m suit, Taylor counter-sued Mueller for only $1, because she wants to set an example for other women who have been molested. Swift’s lawyer spoke to the jury and said,

“That’s the one and only story we have to tell you, that Mr Mueller grabbed her rear end.”

Taylor Swift’s mom, Andrea Smith, 59, also testified against Muller on Wednesday and said that she did not want that event to define Taylor’s life. She felt sick, she recalled what happened and said,

“I was very upset … I felt like I wanted to vomit.” Andrea recalled what Taylor told her, “‘Mom, a guy just grabbed my ass at the meet-and-greet.”

Muller however, presented the photo and said “our hands touched and our arms touched” but his hands never went down Swift’s “rib cage, or rib, or ribs”.

Taylor also testified on Wednesday in a deposition in Denver and said,

“It was not an accident, it was completely intentional, and I have never been so sure of anything in my life.”

Taylor has chosen to speak about what Muller did to her. Suing Muller for $1 is a symbolic gesture to give courage to all women to fight. And this itself proves how she is a much bigger person.
