If you’ve been keeping track of the Tanushree Dutta-Rakhi Sawant war of words and allegations, the latest blow has come from Rakhi Sawant. The controversy queen put on a saree, cloaked her allegations in oodles of drama and made a huge spectacle before the media about her own #MeToo story.
Rakhi Sawant alleged that Tanushree Dutta was a her BFF 12 years ago, and a lesbian who took her to rave parties, forced her to smoke weed and raped her.
If that press conference wasn’t enough, Rakhi also posted two cringeworthy videos about how she had invented a contraption that Indian women could use to avoid being sexually assaulted or raped.
Clearly, enough mockery was being made of the #MeToo movement by Rakhi, who claims that the women speaking up are doing this merely to get attention.
In a scathing response to Rakhi’s ridiculous allegations, Tanushree Dutta has issued a statement refuting the claims and calling it all a smear campaign.
Republic TV reported Tanushree’s statement, which read…
“For those uninitiated in the art of guerrilla war tactics: Smear campaigns never run fair or square. So just to set the record straight: I’m not a drug addict, I don’t smoke or drink and I am most definitely not a Lesbian.”
Antics like the ones Rakhi Sawant has been pulling ever since she has ingrained herself in this case have done nothing but make people detest her even further. Tanushree has already filed a 10 crore defamation case against Rakhi, to which the latter has replied to with another series of disturbing videos. She has also threatened to file a 50 crore defamation suit in return.
