Tamil Nadu Man Climbs Down 30-Feet Snake-Infested Well To Save Drowning Peacock

Every day we come across incidents of animal brutality across the globe which make us question, why can’t the world be a safer place for them? But there are many who work towards creating a safer space for animals and go out of their way to protect them in times of need,

Like this man from Tamil Nadu, who recently climbed down a 30-feet snake-infested well to save a drowning peacock, reports The New Indian Express.

A video of the incident has been going viral on the internet. It shows how a man tied himself with a make-shift harness to climb down the well. There were other people waiting on top and guided him as he went down.

The video also managed to capture a snake that was swimming across the well.

As the man reached the bottom of the well, he walked towards the peacock and picked it up. The others then pulled the rope for the two to reach the top of the well. The man then went on to set the peacock free on the land.

Recently, a woman rushed into a burning forest in Australia to save a koala from the fire. Incidents like these remind us that humans have a certain responsibility towards nature. We, being the “smartest” of all animals, need to save, protect, and nurture nature and every element of it to the best of our abilities. Only then will the world be a better place for us all.
