Akshay Kumar’s Toilet Ek Prem Katha continues to cast its spell over the masses and here’s the proof. A seven-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu called cops on her unemployed father for not building a toilet as promised, reported TOI.
“He promised to construct the toilet two years back and to this date he hasn’t built it. I am a growing girl and I feel embarrassed and ashamed to defecate in the open.”
“Thus, I approached the police station to lodge a complaint against my father,” said Hanifa Zaara to The Quint.
The consistent topper of her class stormed the Ambur all-women police station with her mother carrying all her 20 medals and certificates as proof and accused her father of cheating as he failed to keep the promise made to her. The young rebel claimed that her father (Esanullah) had promised her to build a toilet if she stood first in her class two years ago.
Accusing her father of cheating the little girl claimed that she has been successfully securing first rank in her class for two consecutive years with a hope that her Appa would build a toilet at home.
Hanifa’s mother Mehareen told The Quint that she tried to explain her their financial position and how her father is currently unemployed. She said that nothing could dissuade the little girl and she had stopped eating since Sunday night, so she had to take her to the police station.
“I was quite scared when the lady officer called me to immediately report to the police station. I was puzzled when I saw my wife and daughter at the police station. The inspector then apprised me about the situation and asked me to convince Hanifa and take her home,” Esanullah told TOI.
The girl left the police station only when she was assured that sanitary officers would help the family build a toilet. We definitely need such super girls in our country to make it a better place to live, isn’t it?
