Every year, election candidates seem to come up with innovative campaign ideas. There are weird slogans and even weirder actions candidates try to pull off in order to attract votes.
However, Kuppalji Devadoss, an independent candidate from Amma Makkal National Party (AMNP) in Chennai, managed to pull off the most ‘noteworthy’ and hilarious stunt of them all with the Lok Sabha polls ahead!
Recently, Kuppalji took social media by storm after he submitted an election security deposit of 25,000 INR all in coins!
According to sources, the election candidate arrived on Monday at the South Chennai Zonal office with utensils of different shapes and sizes filled with coins of denominations Rs. 10, Rs. 5, Rs. 2 and Rs. 1.
Along with the coins, he submitted his nomination to contest from South Chennai Lok Sabha seat, which is currently held by AIADMK’s T Radhakrishnan.
It’s true that there’s a lot of drama to be seen during election season. But who knew somebody would throw a chillar party…like literally!
