Tamannaah Replies To Trolls After Being Called ‘Fat’ While Recovering From COVID

Battling a disease or virus can weaken your immune system and cause changes in your body. For instance, hair loss is a known side effect of cancer treatment. However, nobody should be trolled for such changes.

Recently, actor Tamannaah Bhatia, who tested positive for coronavirus last month, opened up about battling the illness. The actor revealed that during her recovery she received backlash over her weight gain and was also trolled by a section of social media.

Speaking about her recovery, she was quoted saying by HT,

“I was really scared when getting treated, there was a constant fear of death in me. I had very severe symptoms that I knew had killed others on their way to recovery. But the doctors truly saved me and I should thank my parents too for standing in support. It made me realize how valuable life truly is.”

Addressing the trolling about her weight, she questioned, “How insensitive can people around us be?” The ‘Himmatwala’ actor further said,

“I was on heavy medication throughout the process which made me look heavy. There are many who called me fat when I posted a picture. It showed me how some can’t see through what the person has gone through and instead, just look for flaws.”

Post her recovery, the ‘Baahubali’ actor had thanked doctors and the medical staff for their help. Well, we’re glad the actor is safe and healthy now. But it’s disheartening to see how insensitive people can be. What do you think? Tell us.
