Actors often opt to completely transform their bodies to get in the skin of a character. This is precisely what Taapsee Pannu appears to have done for her role as an athlete in ‘Rashmi Rocket’. The actress discusses how cultivating a ‘bikini body’ is different from working to achieve an ‘athlete’s body’.

HT reports that she has issued ‘standing instructions’ to her team that she’d never take steroids to achieve a desired physique, even if she failed to meet the goals they set for her. Moreover, she talks about the difference between the two body types.
Taapsee says, “There’s a big difference. To get a bikini body, you have to follow a streamlined approach, and that is to simply shed weight. Nothing between your skin and bones. That’s what you have to achieve, if you look at the kind of bikini body that people expect to see; slim and slender.”

She adds, “Now, I don’t have a body type that can complement that kind of look. I am an athletically built person, so even if I get down to skin and bones, you won’t see that petite frame that you see with a lot of other actors.”
Speaking of the ‘scientific approach’ she takes to building an athletic body, Pannu states, “I was always inclined to have a slightly muscular body which looks like I’ve put in the hard work.” She explains that attention is paid to diet, workout and the kind of machines you use. “It’s a different ball-game altogether,” she signs off.
