Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker recently got married to the love of her life, political activist Fahad Zirar Ahmad. The couple had a court marriage and legalized their relationship under the Special Marriage Act. After she posted pictures of her wedding ceremony, the internet started buzzing.

People, including VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi, started passing derogatory and distasteful remarks especially because the ‘Veere De Wedding’ actor married someone from the Muslim community.
Some said that she would also end up “in a suitcase or a fridge” referring to the Shraddha Walker murder case wherein her live-in partner Aftab Poonawala strangled her to death and stuffed her inside a refrigerator.
“Probably, Swara Bhasker didn’t pay attention to the news of how Shraddha’s body was chopped into 35 pieces. She should have seen the fridge once before taking such a big decision. It is her personal choice. I have nothing much to say. But what happened to Shraddha can happen to Swara too,” Hindustan Times quoted the leader saying.
Twitter was irked by the leader’s comments and came in support of Swara.
