By now, we guess it is safe to say that Sushant Singh Rajput is a honing his skills in the biopic genre pretty damn well and is coming off as a person who can literally slip under the skin of any person.
After leaving all impressed with his portrayal as M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Sushant is pulling up his socks (and wrestling shorts) in order to play The Great Khali on-screen. According to a DNA After Hrs report, a source from the team reveals,
“The biopic is on the life of wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, better known as Khali or The Great Khali in WWE circle. The studio has spoken to the Punjabi wrestler and he has given them the rights to make a film on his life. Sushant has been approached to play the titular role and he has in principle agreed to do the film.”
This is Sushant’s third biopic. He’s also doing one on Murlikant Petkar — India’s first Paralympic gold medallist. Just like the fans saw Dhoni’s “untold” story on-screen, the makers of Khali biopic too will bring to the front the wrestler’s personal life and highlight his journey.
Can you imagine Sushant as Khali? Well, it is kinda hard to envision the Kai Po Che star in Khali’s over 7 feet frame, weighing 157 kilos. Let’s see if the makers can make him look like that with the use of CGI or somehow. Sushant might beef up to look like Khali, but what would he do about the height? We can only wait.
