Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death was being investigated by Maharashtra police and thereafter, Bihar police got involved when KK Singh lodged an FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty in Patna. According to The Economic Times, when the Supreme Court was hearing her plea to transfer the case to Mumbai, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the bench that a CBI probe has been accepted by the Centre.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta states before Supreme Court that Centre has accepted Bihar govt's request recommending CBI enquiry into #SushantSinghRajput death case.

Saying that the “truth should come out so far as actor’s death is concerned,” Justice Hrishikesh Roy asked Mumbai police to file a status report of the investigation within 3 days as well as directed both states and the late actor’s father to file replies on Rhea’s plea.
Shweta Singh Kirti termed this development as a Rakshabandhan gift on Instagram. Take a look.
Ankita Lokhande expressed gratitude for the Centre’s approval saying it was “the moment we’ve waited for.”
We hope that the Central Bureau of Investigation gets to the bottom of the case as soon as possible.
