Suresh Raina, who was an eminent player of the Indian cricket team, has on many occasions been the catalyst in making the men in blue victorious, sometimes by serving as the stand-in captain for the Indian men’s national cricket team and other times through his ‘out of the stadium’ batting skills.
But back in 2020, Raina announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket.

Back then, his unexpected move took everyone by surprise. But at least, we were pacified by the fact that we would see him playing during IPL and other domestic matches.
But the left-handed batsman has also taken away that happiness from his fans as he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, including IPL and domestic cricket.
Taking to Twitter, he shared the heartbreaking news and thanked the country and the people of Uttar Pradesh for whom he played over the years.
It has been an absolute honour to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket. I would like to thank @BCCI, @UPCACricket, @ChennaiIPL, @ShuklaRajiv sir & all my fans for their support and unwavering faith in my abilities 🇮🇳

Maybe it was time for him to go, for good. But celebs and his fans alike were not ready to watch him put his bat down. This is how they reacted:
