Support Pours In For CISF Official Who Slapped Kangana, Vishal Dadlani Offers Her A Job

On June 6, Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a female CISF official inside Chandigarh airport while she was on her way to Delhi. The accused has been identified as Kulwinder Kaur and she went on record to state that the reason behind her violent act was due to Kangana’s previous statements regarding the farmer’s protest.

Back in 2020 and 2021, massive protests broke out in the country, primarily in Delhi. Farmers were against three new agricultural laws – the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020; the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020; and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020. Farmers feared the laws favoured large corporations and undermined their earnings and bargaining power. They were also concerned that eliminating government protection would make them vulnerable to private businesses.

In 2020, Kangana Ranaut had said that women were “available for Rs 100”, suggesting that women could be hired for protests, reported NDTV.

Kulwinder Kaur has been suspended and an FIR has been lodged against her. However, several people, including singer Vishal Dadlani, have come out in support of the CISF official. Dadlani even offered to find her a job if she was rendered jobless after the incident.

Keeping the difference in political ideologies aside, do you think it is acceptable for a uniform-wearing official in their place of duty to commit such an act on any person, let alone a recently elected Member of Parliament?
