If you’ve been following the news recently, you’ve probably heard about the world’s largest shipping jam in the Suez Canal. For the uninitiated, the manmade waterway in Egypt is like a shortcut for ships moving between Europe and Asia.
According to The Indian Express, a large container ship named the Ever Given, which is the size of a skyscraper, was reportedly hit by a sudden strong wind and got stuck after running aground.
A massive container ship — which is almost as long as the Empire State Building is tall — is still lodged in the Suez Canal (it has been there since Tuesday).
It’s created a traffic jam that has ensnared over 200 vessels and could take weeks to clear. https://t.co/r93KLFhtAL pic.twitter.com/yHVsQqYhCV

Efforts are being made to free the waterway by using diggers to clear the silt and sand accumulating near the Ever Given but the situation still persists. That’s why people on Twitter have been offering hilarious solutions of their own to combat the crisis.

I asked my 10yo what to do about the boat in the Suez Canal. And, after viewing all the evidence, she said, "Time to dig a new canal."

My 4-yr old’s plan for getting the cargo ship out of the Suez Canal: “They need a lot of bears with rope. I’m going to try to train a whale to get that boat.”

I have got another plan. We get a giant alan key, insert into a hexagonal hole we make in the top of the ship, then simply turn the boat around a bit using the key pic.twitter.com/n0td6XTeoo
