Ohio Parents Make Stuffed-Animal Zoo To Keep Kids Entertained During Pandemic

While adults understand the current crisis we are going through due to the pandemic and the need for us all to remain indoors till the situation subsides, kids have no clue what is happening. Children always look out for adventures. They want to step outside and play and when unable to do so, they might get restless.

To tackle this issue, parents living in a neighbourhood in Ohio got creative and used stuffed animals to set up a ‘zoo’ for the kids to visit.

According to sources, it started when a woman named Kelsey got a special request from her daughter to visit the zoo.

“All they (kids) hear right now is ‘No we can’t do this’ and ‘No we can’t do that’. So, when they say something like ‘Mom, I want to go to the zoo’, I think, ‘How can I make this happen?'”

Another mom, Jaime, created an “old-school” digital pamphlet and sent it to her neighbourhood WhatsApp group. She urged them to keep outside any stuffed animals they had which the kids would love to see.

And soon, sidewalks and front gardens of several houses were filled with adorable stuffed animals! Many also used chalks to write fun animal facts for the kids to learn.

The children were extremely happy to see different houses set up unique zoos. They were running around with excitement and joy!
