Teacher Complains That Her Students Call Her ‘GOAT’, Gets Emotional On Learning What It Means

It’s hard to keep up with the ever-changing lingo of the new generation. Till a few years back, ‘goat’ meant an animal and its Hindi or Bengali version ‘gadha’ was occasionally used to call someone ‘stupid’. But now, it has become a compliment – the greatest of all time. It’s so confusing at times!

Which is why one mathematics teacher took to Reddit to ask what ‘GOAT’ meant after her students kept calling her that. Her cute post has gone viral.

“I am a math teacher for 8th graders at the school I teach at. Throughout this whole past school year, there was this running joke where the students would call me the goat. And I would respond back each time that they are the goats and they would all laugh. It was pretty funny, to be honest, and I never gave it much thought. But I realized that I have been partaking in a joke that I never actually got. I had a good connection with them, and they are all really good kids, so I don’t really think that they were making fun of me,” she wrote.

But when people took to the comment section to reveal that ‘GOAT’ actually meant ‘greatest of all time’, she couldn’t contain her excitement!

To this she replied:

“Omg I am IN TEARS!!! I can’t believe they were complimenting me this whole time!!!! Thank you all for answering this question!!!!” she wrote.
