Stardom is a double-edged sword and in 2019, this means your social media habits are closely scrutinised. Karan Johar recently got into trouble for accidentally hitting ‘like’ on a tweet that showed Shah Rukh Khan in poor light when compared to Akshay Kumar.
Tweeted by Mannu Yadav it read-
“Half day colls [collections] of Kesari on Holiday (which is worse than pre-Diwali day) [is] greater than Zero full festival day collection.”
You can imagine KJo’s indignation when irate SRK loyalists bashed the director for the accidental ‘like’. In fact, hashtag #ShameOnKaranJohar has even been trending on Twitter. Here’s what SRK fans had to say-

Realising the issue was blown out of proportion Johar swiftly tweeted to clarify-

However, it wasn’t until SRK himself stepped in to Karan’s defense that fans backed off. He did it in an endearingly hilarious way that spoke volumes of their kinship!
“I hate clarifications on SM. @karanjohar is technologically challenged but has other good qualities like his taste in clothes!? Just like Life, twitter doesn’t come with instructions, so mistakes r natural….& also he has fat fingers. Go easy all, Make Lov not War…it’s more fun,” tweeted SRK.
