SRK on equality.

“But on a serious note, art and culture bind humanity and defines who we are. All of us, no matter where we live, what colour we are, what religion we follow or what songs we dance to… thrive in a culture of love, peace and compassion.”

On confluence and conflict.

“As the world progresses, communication and technology enabled both the confluence of ideas and their conflict, it is for us to choose which of the two defines who we are and moulds the world we inhabit in future.”

On how his parents would be proud the most on seeing the way he’s raised his three kids – Aryan, Suhana and Abram.

“I think my father and mother both would be very proud of our one achievement. I hope I can call it an achievement. I think they will be proud of the way we have been able to bring up our three children. I think they will be very happy.”

SRK on this upcoming films, giving his best but ultimately leaving it up to fate.

“I am not nervous. They are wonderful films. It is a child-like belief. I have prepared my best, done my best. When I was a young kid, I thought I did very well in acing the mathematics exam, but in the results, I got 3/100… sometimes it happens with movies also. I do make a ‘Zero’, sometimes what I have put in comes to effort and they become ‘DDLJ’. I just have to believe in it.”

His advice to youngsters – keep a gentle and honest heart.

“One advice I would like to give all youngsters is, if you can, with all the issues of life, keep an honest and gentle heart. There will be a time when you have to cheat life or the people around you, but try not to give into that one moment of weakness … What has always held me in good stead is an honest and gentle heart.”

His heartwarming take on the kind of love he receives from his fans.

“This love is a little beyond my work. There are people here who may have never seen me live but there is a strange love and connection they have with me. There are days when I am depressed…tired…and at that moment, I just need to go outside my house. I know there are 30, 40, 50 people loving me without requiring anything in return. It is selfless and beautiful. I know I have a lovely family but still…whenever I am low, I just need to go and see people. I know then that I have to work harder and make sure that the happiness that they give me, I can give it back.”

He’ll always be ‘the’ King.
