The ‘King of Bollywood’, Shah Rukh Khan has been inspiring millions of people to never give up on their dreams. The heart-throb of the Indian film industry rose from a humble background and became a well-known figure after facing many obstacles in his early days. And among the many actors who owe it to SRK for encouraging them to follow their dreams through his life story, is this Indonesian actor, Muhammad Khan.
Muhammad recently dedicated his 2019 Piala Citra award to Shah Rukh Khan, reported India Today. Muhammad who won the ‘Best Actor’ in a leading role award for playing the lead in Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku (Memories of My Body) said that SRK is the reason why he became an actor. The movie is reportedly Indonesia’s official selection for the 2020 Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Film category.

After his momentous win, Muhammad credited SRK in his acceptance speech and also expressed his desire to meet King Khan someday. In the video that was shared online, he said:
“I would like to thank the one and only King Khan. Shah Rukh Khan, I hope you are going to watch this video. Shah Rukh ji, main tumse kuch kehna chahta hoon. Mujhe tumse bohat, bohat pyaar ho gaya hai.”
“Actually, you are the reason why I wanted to become an actor when I was 10. So, tonight, I would like to share this award with you as well. And I hope I can meet you one day.”
Muhammad also sang SRK’s 1998 hit song ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ from the movie ‘Duplicate’. Muhammad’s video went viral like wild-fire and it hardly took any time to reach King Khan himself.
Acknowledging Muhammad’s gesture, SRK congratulated him on Twitter.

Well, this is one of the reasons why SRK is loved across the globe. He was also applauded earlier for attending his hairstylist’s sister’s wedding. It has been more than 3 decades and his stardom is increasing manifold. He is a star for a reason after all!
